Hello...Finally!

I know I have been terrible at writing. I've been busy! And sick. And extremely tired. For those of you that don't know... I'm not sure that anyone doesn't know already.... but I'm pregnant! Baby #2 is due March 20, 2014. This coming Wednesday I'm in the second trimester! Wahoooo!! I've been sooooo tired--more tired than I ever remember being with Ellison. And I'm grumpy. Poor Jesse. :-) We weren't really together much during my first trimester with Ellison -- he was up here in Kane working and I was living with my parents because we didn't have a house yet. But he's been great.

Ellison turns 1 at the end of the month! Can you believe how fast time has flown? I barely can. She is a fireball. She is very independent and bold. We go to the dr on Oct 1st for her 1 year check up -- I'll post stats after. :)

Okay... that's enough for now. :) I don't have any pictures on the computer. I'll get on that. Eventually. :/

Lately

I've been a sort of "funk" these past couple days...weeks. Winter has not been my friend this year. I long for the warm summer breeze and the smell of outdoor grilling and fresh cut grass. Instead, I'm shut up in the house with a swirling, whirling snowstorm howling outside. Kane is a beautiful place...except this time of year. The silver lining is that I have a cute buddy to hang out with every day! Here are a few pictures of what we've been doing.
She likes to look at herself in my phone while I take her picture.

There is always time for a good book.

Hanging out with Andrew -- he refuses to be called "Uncle Andrew" because he says it makes him seem old. :)

Cuddle time with Mommy. Our favorite way to spend the mornings. <3 br="">

Trying bananas for the first time! She didn't care for them at first, but now she loves them!

Ellison likes to hang out on the couch while I read her the scriptures.

She loves this little plastic lion thing. And she is such a lady and crosses her legs. :)

Ellison and "G" (my dad) have such a special bond. We try and visit as much as we can!

My sister, Bek, cut my hair! It's such an easy style -- literally wash and go! I love it.

We both love naptime. She knows when she needs to sleep and doesn't fuss when it's time (unless she wants to nurse or has a burp). She pulls her blanket up to her face and rubs her cheek with it while sucking her thumb. I didn't even have to teach her that! She's so my daughter.
She spends time with her "gym" everyday. She has abs of steel because she's constantly doing crunches and leg lifts. And she scoots around in a circle. Silly little girl.

We are so blessed to have such a happy, easy-going baby girl! I adore her. And I think she adores me. ;)

"I'm ready for more sweet potatoes!" She ate a whole container of sweet potatoes the other day. Her poo has been orange. Too much info? :)

Lunch with daddy! He dripped sauce on her more than once. :) (she's watching basketball on the TV)

She thought is was so funny that she rolled herself out of bed! I don't know how long she was like this but she was giggling and talking up a storm. So silly!

I started going to Zumba at the Elk's Club -- which is less than a block away from our house. I would walk, but there is too much snow and it's too chilly! So... I will in the summer.

"Feel the music!" I love love love Zumba!

I decided to start sewing again. I'm in the process of making 4 quilts. I should just stick with one at a time, but I like the challenge. :) These fabrics are for a Puff Quilt for Ellison. Jesse helped me pick out the colors. I think it will look cute!

So that's a little of what we've been up to lately! Bye-bye for now!

It's Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas!

I told Jesse the only thing I wanted for Christmas was to decorate our home. So he let me buy all the decorations I wanted (within reason....) What a man!  Here's what I've done to the place:
