The Trouble With...

The trouble with finding out that you're pregnant early on is that the weeks seem to go by soooo slowly! I thought for sure I was at least seven weeks by now. Nope. Chuck Testa. Only 6. *sigh*

I started having tummy troubles this past weekend. I find myself repulsed by the though of some foods, the sight of food and of course the smell! The only things that I have wanted to eat are: Chef Boyardee Beefaroni and Original Potato Chips. I only had one can of beefaroni so after I finished it I had to go to Walmart to get more. Just walking through the aisles was torture. Until I walked through the frozen treats and saw Jamba smoothies. Awwww, I had to get some! And can I just say that the "Strawberries Wild" is divine! Mmmmm. I'm still sipping away. I might have to go get some more later....

I've been keeping myself busy and trying not to think about my queasy stomach (I don't have the urge to vomit, it's just upset.) So I've been doing laundry, doing the taxes -- almost finished, just have to wait for Jesse to bring home his W-2 from PSU. And I've eaten about 3 cans of Beefaroni, and almost an entire bag of chips. And it's only 1:55pm ... heaven help me!

I set up my first prenatal appointment. I'm going to see a midwife in Kane in two weeks. I haven't gone yet because I heard that they like to wait until you're 8 weeks along and I was right, she said it was perfect timing. Jesse and I have chosen not to do any ultrasounds because of the dangers to the baby's nervous system. My nerves are already shot so I don't want to make the baby's any worse. The alternative is a fetoscope. Check out a fetoscope here.  The hospital is only about 5 minutes away from our hopefully future home, but found out that it's so small and you have to go to Bradford or St. Marys to deliver. I chose St. Marys because by the time I'm due they'll have the water tubs ready for water births! How awesome. Always wanted that. :)

So Long, Farewell

My last day of work at Penn Mont Academy was on Friday the 13th of January. Quite a fitting day. I say that I retired because I don't like the word "quit." I had to leave because Jesse took a job that started yesterday. I will miss Penn Mont -- it was a really good, prestigious, job that paid really well. I started working there in the Summer of 2009 as a summer camp preschool teacher a year later I went to CMTE/NY for Infant/Toddler Montessori certification. Since working there I received my PA Private School License and AMS I/T certification. So I'm not leaving empty handed.

Right now Jesse and I are staying in the company house for Temple-Inland (Jesse's company) in Mt. Jewett, PA. I'm only staying this week then next week I'm going to head back to State College and pack up our belongings. We're in the process of looking for a house and we found a good candidate! Hopefully things work out that we can make an offer today and move-in in less than a month. *fingers crossed*

The house we're looking at is a charming 2-story, 4 bedroom, 1-1/2 baths in the heart of Kane, PA -- only 20 minutes from Temple-Inland. It's adjacent to a large park that will be so nice next year when I'm chasing a toddler!

Which brings me to..... I'm expecting!!! Baby Mowry is due September 24th. Hopefully things go well this time around and I don't miscarry. Prayers are appreciated. :) I have a feeling it will be a girl but Jesse has his heart set on a boy. Either way, (s)he will be loved and welcomed!
