Sometimes I don't feel like I look pregnant... People don't say, "Awh! When are you due??" Except at church since they know I'm pregnant. To prove my point, here are pictures of me that I took on Friday morning.
I'm 32 weeks! I look like I'm like 20 weeks pregnant. (I measure 28 weeks.)
Only 8 more weeks to go. It's amazing how fast this time went. I had an appointment with my midwife, Julie, last Wednesday. She said that I am very healthy! I haven't gained much weight (I lost about 10 lbs at the beginning because I couldn't keep much down), my blood pressure was 117/70, my glucose levels were "fantastic," I'm not anemic, the baby is head down for the time being, the baby's heart rate is about 145 and got agitated (heart rate increased and it moved around) when Julie poked around. (Jesse says, "Just like its mommy!" :) haha What can I say?) And she was very pleased that I'm not "puffy" because of all the heat. My secret? I drink a TON of water and eat lots of berries. And I haven't been doing much of anything besides trying to stay cool. Luckily it's been SO nice out--not so humid and in the 70's.
I've been starting to gather things together for the hospital. Any "must have" items that I should take?
Oh, and I've been going through the baby clothes that my sister gave me... there aren't as many newborn things as I had anticipated so if anyone has any baby clothes (boy & girl) they can let me borrow, I'll pay shipping! And when I'm finished I'll send them back. :) Let me know.
I love being pregnant. I've been very blessed to have an easy pregnancy, I thank Heavenly Father daily for the blessing of becoming a mother! It's been my goal for as long as I can remember, since my mom had Bekah -- I've literally been preparing my entire life. This is why I chose Child Development and Professional Preschool Education as my major(s) in college, and why I endured 6 weeks of Montessori Infant/Toddler training the first six weeks of my marriage..... to know how I can best raise our children. I'm very grateful for my wonderful husband who wants me to be a stay-at-home-mom so I can raise our children. :)

Foyer
Here are some lame before pictures of our foyer...
I don't know why I didn't take better pictures!! And here are some after.... it's actually not completely finished but I thought I'd put some up anyway. :)
This is a view of the study from the steps. I love the study. :)
We really like our entryway/foyer! We can't decide what to call it. :) Oh, and see those baskets in the overhead thing? The one on the right has mittens, hats, scarves for winter and the one on the left has....

Homemade guest slippers made by my awesome sister, Meghan! We want people to remove their shoes when they come in and since some people don't like to be barefoot we now have slippers for them! How cool is that? :) (I got the idea from Martha Stewart....she's basically my idol....if I believed in idols. haha) Thanks, Meghan!!!! I adore these slippers and my personal stash of slippers.
More pictures coming soon!
The Creeper
EVERYDAY, twice a day, for the past month and a half there is a man that sits in the pavilion right across the street from our house.... He used to just sit and look at our house, but he just recently starting using a laptop over there. We assume he's using the power and stealing someone's internet. I dunno but he kind of creeps me out. He's there before I get up in the morning (8:30ish) and stays until about noon, leaves and comes back around 2pm ish and leaves about 4 or 5ish. Jesse followed him once after he left, but the dude walked up the street, back two blocks then came back around past the pavilion and out of sight. Jesse got side-tracked talking to an elderly lady.
Highly suspect.

Sometimes I procrastinate...and then I forget
A couple months ago, literally in April, I washed a pair of Jesse's church pants and put them aside to iron. Then I washed a couple of his white shirts and set them aside to iron. Before I knew it, I had a large stack of items to iron. Fast forward a couple months and I still didn't iron them. So Jesse bought me a clothing steamer because I like steaming clothes rather than ironing...he wants his clothes wrinkle free. :) And I just realized that.... I use the steamer still in the box as a pedestal for my fan and the stack of clothes behind my mirror. Oops. :)

Nursery: Before/After
Here's the nursery before...
And after!
We still need to put a ceiling fan in (with the help from my Dad) and add furniture, but it's coming along nicely!!

Man Cave: Before/After
Our former office has been changed to Jesse's room. He has so many.....supplies... that he needed his own space and the room was too small to house both of our hobbies so I took the bigger back room and he got the smaller office. :) Here's a before of Jesse's room.....
And the after...
And the after...
Craft/Mary Kay Room: Before and After
The room formally known as The Guest Room and The Back Bedroom has been converted into my crafting/Mary Kay sanctuary. The color is not quite what I was going for, but it works for the time being. Here's a before picture....
I painted this blasted room three times -- pink to brown to teal. I got tired of painting so I kept the bright teal... :) Before I added furniture it was a bit overwhelming, but like I said, it works for now.
My desk used to be the kitchen table in our home growing up, then Meghan (my older sister) used it in her home and then it got passed to me. It was a little grimy so I cleaned it up, painted it then modge podged my initials and sprinkled the top with glitter. Over the top? Perhaps, but it's awesome! :)
