Randomnesss

Tired. And it's only 11am. I hurt my back moving stuff around in the house and my midwife told me to take it easy and rest. Resting is tiring.

It's cold and flurrying outside. 33 degrees. What have we gotten ourselves into? The State College winter spoiled me this year. We had so many lovely days in the 70's, oh how I miss you warm weather! Could be worse I guess..... Could be -33 degrees. I remember it was -24 (wind chill) in Idaho once when I was there. 33 seemed like a heat wave! Now I just want to crawl under my covers and snuggle with my Snoogle! Which by the way is the most awesome thing EVER! Here is a picture... I just wrap around it and fall into a lovely sleep. It's been hard sleeping on my back--I think Baby is tap dancing on my spine. I've been feeling more and more pregnant, my stomach is stretching and starting to look like there's a baby in there! I can feel it kick and squirm, it's pretty cool. :)

Side note, something I don't really like about this house is that the windows are so big and there are so many! The brightness kind of hurts my eyes and I feel like I'm squinting a lot. I'll fix it when I buy curtains though.

Home Sweet Home

Jesse and I have finally moved into our new home!! We're super happy and excited to be settling in, we've unpacked a lot but still have a lot to do!

Jesse is at work now and I'm home alone, not really accomplishing much because we just got the internet hooked up so I'm catching up on Facebook and blogs.

Crazy news.... it's snowing. Right now we probably have about 4 or more inches and it's still coming strong. Apparently the weather man said we can expect about 18 inches. Crazy!!! I can hear a neighbor shoveling the sidewalk. It was so beautiful in State College on Saturday when we packed up but as we headed farther north it got colder and colder and yesterday is when it started snowing.

Sorry this is a hodge podge of little comments......

I want to give a shout out to my awesome dad! He came up yesterday and in about 6 hours he: installed our dishwasher; fixed the old lock on the back door so it actually locks now! Installed a new doorknob/lock on the side door so it, too, now locks; cut off about an inch from 3 bedroom doors because the carpet we had installed raised the floor; caulked the bathtub (LOOKS SO GOOD NOW!!!!); hung our TV on the wall and strung the wires/cables through the wall to the plugs and was good company. :) I love him, I'm such a daddy's girl. :)

While I'm on the subject, my inlaws have been really helpful too. They took all the wallpaper off of our bedroom walls before we moved in -- I hate wallpaper with a fire passion. The walls are ready for paint! They've also helped us move the boxes in, scrub countless windows, walls, shelves..... many thanks!!!

Ok, I better get to work! :)

Beep, beep!

We got a new car! We've had it for a week and I still haven't taken any pictures.... I'm so behind. So here is a picture of what it looks like from the Honda website. :) It's a 2012 Honda CR-V in White Diamond Pearl. It's not "white white" - it has flecks of goldish pink and it sparkles in the sunlight, awh so beautiful. As my brother Andrew asked me, "Do you live on diamonds and pearls?" Yes, yes I do. :)
