Living Room

I forgot to post pictures of our main floor... here's the living room! Not the best pictures.. I'm still practicing. :)

My dad made this Choffy table. :) Jesse bought it. Osage Orange.

Lazy Day

I had a lovely, lazy day today. I woke up rather early (had a hard time sleeping), ate some yummy Boo Berry cereal and watched High School Musical. :) It's seriously one of my favorites. When I used to babysit the McLanahan girls, it's all they wanted to watch and I got hooked on it too!

Then I decided to do something fun. I made pretzels! My mom had given me a box of Auntie Anne's at-home baking kit. I love my Kitchen Aid that Jesse got me last Christmas! So pretty.

After making pretzels, I stayed in my pajamas and watched some more Disney movies -- then at 2pm I remembered I needed to go to the post office so I showered and ran my errands, came home and made dinner.

After dinner Jesse and I went for a stroll around the park, looked for the peacock, surveyed our property (not literally), sat on the porch swing and talked while we watched some silly men with metal detectors roam the park... then went to St. Marys to go to Walmart. It was a lovely day. :)

Visiting Teaching

The women's organization in our church is called the Relief Society. Every woman ("sister") is assigned to go with another sister to "visit teach" other sisters in the RS. So a companionship goes to other women's homes and shares a short, gospel-centered message and checks on her and her family to see if they can be of any service. It's a beautiful thing, everyone looks out for everyone else. I really enjoy Relief Society and Visiting Teaching.

I was going to post some frustrations, but I decided against it. I'm trying to be kinder and less negative.  :D

Kinzua Bridge State Park

After church last Sunday, we decided to go visit the Kinzua Bridge State Park, about a 20 minute drive from our house. It was such a BEAUTIFUL day but by the time we got there some clouds rolled in and the pictures didn't turn out so well.

Poor Jesse's eyes! He had been fighting a cold for several days and then all the sudden his eyes turned red. He teaches Sunday School to the 12-14 year olds and one of the boys said he couldn't look at Jesse because he looked like the devil. :) Every time I looked at Jesse my eyes would water out of sympathy! They're better now, thank goodness.

I decided to lay down on the tracks... bad idea because I hurt my back getting up, I was afraid my toes were going to get stuck in between the railroad ties. :) Silly I know.
